Sorry but no. We hunt the same land every year on the traditional MN fishing opener/Mothers day and normally we have great luck. Been doing that since 2000 or so and have only had one year that was kinda poor and one year they were so young that their heads were big like bobble heads, made good targets though. Boy are the little ones dumb! Just looking for a little info to help me keep my mind going on the drive tonight. Cheers!

That area is a little further north than Denver and I would expect things there to happen later. In Denver, the pups are not yet out.

Winter coat and boots.  I don't know about the Cheyenne Reservation but not too far west of there they had a snow storm yesterday (6-8 inches).

Our weather in SD has been weird lately.  In April we had nice May weather.  Now in May we are getting sh***y April weather.  Most definitely not HP weather.  It's been windier than he**.

Well, the snow hit on thursday, but by friday afternoon it was looking pretty good. We got to have some aiming fluid on Friday evening and had a pretty good day of shooting on Saturday. The dogs were out good, but I would say that there will be pups out this week. I talked to one of the locals and a weeks or so ago they had a guy out shooting and he had shot some pregnant dogs I guess, we didn't see any of them though, so I would say the hatch is underground, which would be about right as fishing opener is this coming weekend in MN and that is when we normally go. Looks to be a great year, never seen so much green grass and the pheasants and muleys are waaay more prevalant than I have ever seen them. The ranchers are smiling this year, but remember your 410 pistols, the snakes are gonna be out this year, I got a 52" rattler last year and a 48"+ one the year before(that one got alot shorter after the 22lr ar got done).
My bedding on my 204 remington and 223ai job on my stealth really made both shoot better and I made some nice ai brass to reload for the June trip.  We woke up to rain about 5am on Sunday, made a long drive home, but Momma was happy I took her to a movie for Mommy's day.  Will keep updates from the Res on here for you guys the next couple weeks.

Yes you keep us posted toolman.
Me and Jim on here will be heading out that way in 5 weeks or so. I hope that things dry up before then.

Glad you had fun.  That's what it's all about.

Starting this weekend the weather is supposed to turn towards the nice side.  About time as I forgot what the sun looks like.wink

Guys, get your liscenses on line, or you can get them in Dupree and Eagle Butte, but go in the mornings, I guess they went online now and only 1 person at each establishment knows how to use the newfangled interwebby thingy. Timber Lakes station is "glad to net sell them anymore" too bad, no reason for me to fill my truck and tummy there anymore.
