took this groundhog at 104 yards with my .221 fireball with a 30 gr. varmint gernade. quartering away from me. hit him behind the front shoulder. no exit hole. talk about your hydraulic shock!!!
it pushes the 30 grainers 3900 fps on my chrony. 24" barrel. molyed bullets.
its a real fun gun to shoot.
good luck on your pd hunt. hope it dries up for you...
that means alot coming from a guru and hog killer such as yourself.
i do alot of bullet testing. i like a bullet that leaves no exit. as most of my hunting spots are quite rural. i am of course very careful of what direction im shooting. but no exit hole means no chance of down range accidents.
will be doing most of my hog huntin with varmint grenades in my .221 and my .204s this summer. but not in my hornet. it dont like them at all. will stick with the nosler 35 gr. leadfree in that. very accurate. and they really pop too!
Show up, do your best, don't grumble about the outcome...

That's about my best 15.3 LiL'Gun at 1.865 OAL. I just pick-up some 36 grain Barnes Varmint Grenades I'm going to load up this week. Should do about the same with the same load.
Say your prayers varmint!
"Good heavens! He disintegwated."
I want to see a 30cal varmint grenade for a 308.
